New Horizons Cup starts playing today.

The New Horizons Cup is a “2v2” tournament including 1v1 and 2v2 games, and it’s playing with non-standard maps.

The game will play on today and tomorrow and it will start at 19:00 CEST on these two days. Let’s have some fun on those non-standard maps!

Schedule

• 19:00 CEST (20:00 MSK) for both days.
• 6th May
  • Early Rounds until Quarterfinals.
• 7th May
  • Semifinals and Finals.

Format

• Single Elimination.
• Early Rounds (until Quarterfinals):
  • Two Bo1 1v1,
  • if tied, then a 2v2 Bo1 decides the winner.
• Semifinals and Finals:
  • Two Bo3 1v1,
  • if tied, then a ace match (1v1) Bo1 decides the winner.

Map Pool

• For 1v1
  • Brightwater Oasis, Logging Camp, Northwatch Hold, Ruins of Azshara, Sen’jin’s Hideout, Thawing Snow, Udongo Mwekundu
• For 2v2
  • Circle of Fallen Heroes, Guardians, Greenville Woods, Hellfire Plateau, Lordaeron Plaza, Temple Field, Vile Reef

Prize Pool

• Winner gets at least $200.
  • If there is more than $200, the winner gets 75% with a minimum of $200;
  • and the Second Place gets 25% of the raised money.
