Summary of the games of WGL Summer 2019 First Day.(Spoiler alert)

Result Yesterday.

RW.Infi vs DuSt.OC

Infi vs OC was the first series of the games yesterday, and also the WGL summer 2019. However, we might say everything was under Infi’s control.

OC chose to play with Double Ancient of War on both games. In fact, he played with this almost all the time. After the game, Infi even said that he knew OC was going to play with Double Ancient of War, OC played with this every time.

However, OC still had the chance to win on the second map of NI. OC chose Panda first and Double Ancient of War, when the Panda almost level 3, Infi just started building the Tier 2 production buildings, it’s a big chance for OC! But, OC chose to creep to level 3, and his army were being delayed by Infi’s Archmage. At last, Infi held the push, knocked down the Big tree, and won the game.

Newbee.eer0 vs Newbee.Lawliet

On the first map of TS, when 120 was trying to expand, Lawliet went to creep jack and killed a lot of units. At the moment, we might say the game was over and 120 could call out GG. Surprisingly, 120 stick to the game and tried to come back. However, the high level Warden and Panda was just too strong, they kept killing the Acolytes again and again. After 120 failed to hero kill and lost his DK in the direct fight , 120 called out GG.

And we came to the second game on TM, Lawliet spawn at the top right,it’s a really bad position for the Night Elf. So, Lawliet chose a very risky opening, he tried to creep the shop! However, 120 went to creep jacking immediately, although Lawliet got the level 6 creep experiences and let the DK low in HP, but 120 got the item, and Lawliet’s killed a creep with his Ancient of War too. Lawliet went to 120 base and wanted to kill the DK immediately, but Lich came out in time, and the KotG was killed. After a few fights, Lawliet lost many units and he called out GG.

We came to the deciding game on LR, 120 stopped Lawliet expanding and canceled the Tree of Life a few times, getting advantage in the early stage. When Lawliet succeeded to expand, 120 went to attack, but Lawliet didn’t go for harassing 120’s main base or base running, he chose to fight. After the direct fight, Lawliet lost many units and typed out GG.

LP.FoCuS vs mTw.Cash

The first game on CH was pretty confusing game. FoCuS chose Far Seer first and Fire Lord second, double Beastiary for mass Raiders. Usually, this strategy is used for base running but not direct fight, but FoCuS kept going to push and fight directly. Of course, FoCuS lost many units, and he also failed to build the Towers for Towers push. However, FoCuS turned to train mass Kodo Beasts, and he killed Cash’s both heroes. Cash lost his heroes in his base and he called out GG. Even FoCuS smiled on his face after he game.

On the second map of NI, Cash tried to creep jack or steal the creep, but he failed, at the same time, FoCuS got so many good items. Under the advantage, FoCuS creep the two big camps on the middle of the map, and killed Cash’s BM. Cash couldn’t make a comeback and typed out GG after he lost the direct fight.

RW.TH000 vs LP.Colorful

Obviously Colorful wasn’t in a good shape yesterday, he made so many mistakes in these both games. On the first map of LR, TH000 used a specialization strategy for fight against Colorful’s opening, although Colorful kept Archmage low in HP, but he didn’t use TP in time and lost his DK. After that, TH000 kept creeping and went to attack in the day time of the game. Colorful tech was late and his army wasn’t big enough, so he couldn’t held the attack and called out GG.

On the second game on CH, Colorful thought TH000 would still use the same strategy, but he was wrong, and his DH was very low in HP in early game without getting anything. Under this situation, TH000 went for expanding immediately, and Colorful had no way to stop it. After that, TH000 went to Colorful’s base to harass, and he even canceled the both Ancient of Lord, and Colorful gave up the game immediately.

Prediction of Games today!

They changed it to 17:00, 18:15, 19:30, 20:45. However, the time will be changed depends on the situation by the time.

We are going to have four games today, Moon vs Hunter; Chaemiko vs Fly100%; Lyn vs Happy; Life vs Sok.

For the first series, Moon is just too good in this match up, and he’s also unbeatable in Night Elf mirror recently. I guess Moon will win in 2 games!

And the second game of Fly100% vs Chaemiko, Fly100% is not in good shape recently, and Chaemiko is good in Human vs Orc. Considering Fly100%’s always being good in offline, we guess Fly100% win the game with 2-1.

Lyn is always strong in playing against Undead, at the same time, it’s the first time that Happy plays in WGL offline, we guess Lyn will win in 3.

Sok vs Life is hard to predict, it’s depended on the mood of Life by the time. Considering Sok have improved so much recently, we guess Sok in 3!

Little information of WCG Grand Final.

Generally, the 8 players will play with round robin and Bo1 first. After that, the top 4 players will advance to the Semi Final. At the same time, the first place will face the fourth place, and the second place will face the third place. The Semi Final and the Grand Final will be single elimination and Bo3.
