Highlight of the games yesterday.
TH hasn’t lost a single map so far!
In group stage 1, TH000 beat Colorful and FoCuS without losing a map; yesterday, he did the same result against Sok and 120! Amazing performance by TH000!
Is the strategy of mass Riflemen not useful in Human mirror?
In the games versus TH000 and Chaemiko, Sok went for mass Riflemen, and he also went for the Dark Ranger second. It’s a pretty interesting choice, but Sok lost both of the games that he went for this strategy.
Especially the game 2 of Chaemiko vs Sok, we could see that the Riflemen were in struggle when they fought against the Spell Breakers. Beside of killing some Priests, the Army of Dark Ranger second and mass Riflemen really couldn’t make much damage on Chaemiko’s army.
It’s the problem of the hero choice? As we saw yesterday, Dark Ranger didn’t make a big change after she came out from the Tavern. Although she led the army to got a lot of kills, but at the same time, her army also got a heavy loss too. Let’s wait and see how Sok will improve this strategy.
120 double killed Chaemiko and advanced to the Semi Finals.
Beside of Infi and TH000, 120 were still a mountain for the Human players, it’s very hard to cross by. As TH000 said in the winner interview after the game, 120 didn’t sleep well yesterday night, and he wasn’t in a good shape. But, he was still strong enough to beat Chaemiko.
In fact, 120 didn’t win it easily, Chaemiko almost won the first round against him. On the third map of CH in the first round, when MK and the Footmen went to the Undead base, they should have killed the Acolytes, and ignored the other units. By the time, the Undead was upgrading the base.
Gryphon Aviaries might not be a good choice.
After that, MK and Footmen still succeeded to kill Acolytes and Crypt Fiends, and got a big advantage, but Chaemiko went for three Gryphon Aviaries. If Chaemiko went for Spell Breakers or Flying Machines, he probably might have had the bigger chance to win the game.
It’s still a exciting game for us. Chaemiko and Sok showed us that they have improved so much, we believe they will improve again and show us the different style of Human strategies.
Preview for the WGL Ro8, Group B.
Moon is the best Night Elf nowadays, and Lawliet said many times that he couldn’t beat Moon. So I guess Moon will beat Lawliet with 2-1.
For the second match, I think we shouldn’t use the series of Happy vs Lyn and say Happy will win with 2-0. As I heard, Lyn didn’t prepare enough and he was very busy on other stuffs. On the other hand, if FoCuS goes for mass Raiders and Base trade, it’s will be very hard for Happy. So I guess FoCuS will win with 2-1.
At last, I guess Moon will advance as the first and FoCuS will advance as the second place.
