Happy is one of the strongest players.
Q: What do you think about Happy’s victory over the top Korean and Chinese players in WGL? Does this mean Happy is the world’s strongest player? Who do you think is the strongest player?
FoCuS: Yeah, I feel that Happy is one of the strongest players in the world and I hope that he will start joining large scale competitions such as WCG and WGL. That having been said, for me, Moon and Lyn will always be the strongest.
Q: Could you tell us some of your other hobbies? Could you share some of your other interests in your life.
FoCuS: I like playing games, watching videos, listening to music. Also, I’m enjoy exercising at the gym and playing piano. Recently, I like IZONE and BTS, so I listen to their music and watch their video often.
I usually train about 5-8 hours a day
Q: I’d like to ask focus this question – regardingly how many chinese fans call you 佛爷 (fo ye – translator note: 佛 = Buddha 爷 Grandpa) – what are your feelings about this?
FoCuS: I like this nickname. Fans giving me a nickname makes me feel honored.
Q: Hello, Focus! Everyday how much time do you spend practicing warcraft? Outside of training, what are some of your other interests? Between your team income and the money you get from tournaments, is it enough to sustain your family life?
FoCuS: I usually train about 5-8 hours a day of Warcraft III. Sometimes I will give myself a break which usually 1 -2 days a week.
In between training, I go to the gym or play piano. On my day off, I will listen to music and watch videos. Sometimes I will also play other games such as Zelda Breath of the Wild and Final Fantasy 14. I feel like my life is really healthy and happy.
I am continuously learning from other Orc players.
Q: About how many Warcraft III fans are there in Korea?
FoCuS: I’m not totally sure but I guess about 2000 people. (Translator comment: that doesn’t seem right haha)
Q: Who do you think is the best Orc player in the world? At the end of a high-intensity game, do you feel tired?
FoCuS: I think Lyn is the best Orc player in the world. I am also continuously learning from other Orc players.
After such intense games, I certainly do feel tired. Also it really can stress me out. After these tournaments, I often suffer from insomnia and can’t sleep.
Give us a bit more time to see if Orc can rise again!
Q: Right now orc isn’t looking so good. Is it because of the new patch or because the current orc players just aren’t playing at their normal level?
FoCuS: This is really hard to say. Because I am an Orc player myself, it’s difficult for me to objectively judge the balances in this patch. I believe that all the Orc players do normally practice really hard, so give us a bit more time to see if Orc can rise again.
Q: Who do you think is stronger: Moon or Happy?
FoCuS: I think Moon and Happy are on the same level now, both of them are really strong.

FoCuS: This is do know and I really like him! (I know that this is a joke)
Feelings of disgust for myself will develop in my mind.
Q: I would like to ask are there many trolls in Korea trolling you? How do put up with it?
FoCuS: Quite often, feelings of disgust for myself will develop in my mind and by that logic, of course there will be others who hate me too. I can understand those who dislike me. But at the same time, there are many who also really like and they are the driving force that propels me to overcome difficulties.
I guess that the WCG finals will be Night Elf vs Human.
Q: In your opinion, who will win WCG this year? During patch 1.30, you were consistently the strongest player in Orc vs Night Elf. In WSB you almost beat Moon. So is Orc vs Night Elf, the best match-up for you? You think in the future, you will find the perfect strategy against Night Elf?
FoCuS: Predicting the WCG champion is extremely difficult. I believe that most people will predict that TH000 will win, but I want to say that Moon and Infi are also really strong. Of course, Lawliet is also not bad. These 4 players, all have a chance. I guess that the finals will be Night Elf vs Human match.
Orc vs Night Elf is indeed my strongest match-up. In this patch, the Night Elves no longer have a single safe strategy for victory, so every Night Elf player has their own particular play style. Therefore, I feel that I have to utilize different tactics every time I go against them.

Q: Do you think right now that Human are most difficult for the Orcs?
FoCuS: Yes, it’s Human. Up until now, I still haven’t found an effective way to deal with humans yet, but I believe that I will.
Q: Focus, I have 3 questions:
1. After having a family, how has your life change?
2. Besides income from Warcraft III, do you have any part-time work to help supplement and guarantee your income?
3. After join the LP clan, compared with not being in a clan, do you think you will practice even more?
FoCuS: After getting married, there really hasn’t been many big changes. I guess it’s probably because we still haven’t had children. Right now, I don’t have any other jobs – focus entirely on my Warcraft career. Since joining LP clan, my training regiment has been the same.
Lyn is still the best Orc player in the world.
Q: We all know that you have already gotten married, how did you did you two meet each other? Does your wife support you playing Warcraft? Recently, you have consecutively beaten Lyn to become the number 1 Orc in the world. How did you improve?
FoCuS: We were playing a game called Mabinogi when we met each other. Because we both live in the same small town, have many similar hobbies, so we got together. But she doesn’t really get Warcraft nor is she interested in it.
I think Lyn is still the best Orc player in the world – I just beat him a few time is all. I still have a long way to go.
Q: Hey Focus, in each match up, which Orc do you think is the strongest?
FoCuS:
1. Orc vs Orc——Lyn;
2. Orc vs Undead——Lyn
3. Orc vs Human——Lyn&Fly;
4. Orc vs Night Elf——It’s hard to say because every Night Elf has their own play style.
Of the 4 races,The top is Undead and Human.
Q: In WGL you almost beat Happy, but in the end you lost. Do you feel regret over this?
FoCuS: Yeah, not beating happy was such a shame. I felt that I had a chance to beat him, but I played too carelessly. I hope next time, I can play much better.
Q: How do you rank the strength of the 4 races? What do you think is the most unbalanced hero or unit skill?
FoCuS: Of the 4 races: The top is Undead and Human, followed by Night Elf. The Orcs is the worst. Before patch 1.29, Critical Strike is as IMBA as a bug, and now, Thunder clap replaced it.
I have absolutely no plans to switch races.
Q: Before when you joined Gera Cup, you would often play until 5 or 6 in the morning. What motivations do you have that pushes you to keep playing at such a high level competition.
In patch 1.30, Orc is having a lot of difficulty. Have you considered changing races?
FoCuS: I like Warcraft III. I like playing high level competitions and because of this I join competitions that go into the early hours of the morning.
During patch 1.30, I practiced playing Night Elf, but I have absolutely no plans to switch races. This is because I still don’t feel that I am playing Orc at the absolute top level, which means there is still room for improvement. So there is no need to switch races.
Q: During the team league, when you play 2v2, will you choose colorful as your partner?
FoCuS: I haven’t thought about this and I’m really not good at 2v2. If my team needs an orc player, I will certainly play, but I think that Romantic and Colorful are the strongest combination.
