The changes in the new patch are most closely related to pro players. Among the Balances Changes to these four races, Human and Undead bear the brunt. So, we found WFZ to hear his insights on the balance changes in new patch.

About strength.

WFZ: If you just want to talk about the changes of strength of these four races, I think Night Elf must have been buffed, but it’s not a big change. And on Human, Mountain King and Mass Riflemen have been strong for so long, and now they finally get nerfed, and they are a bit weaker.

The Undead hasn’t changed, the Orcs are nerfed a little bit, and the TC! Finally the War Stomp get nerfed after these 10 years, thanks to ToD.

About Crypt Lord.

WFZ: The buff of Crypt Lord is mainly for the convenience of expanding. Like Dread Lord first and fast expansion, the key is we can expand early and get the economic advantages, and the following moves and plays are easier to do. After the buff of the Carrion Beetles, it’s easier for Crypt Lord first with Skeletons to expand, but we can only know how is the effect after practice.

(Author Note: Maybe we can see Crypt Lord first and fast expansion?)

About the nerf of the Skeletons that everyone cares about the most.

WFZ: The Skeleton nerf is mainly for the Human. I think reducing 10 HP is in my acceptable range. The Militias and Footmen Damages are relatively low damage, 10 HP means about a hit for them.

In general, the Undead harass the Human expansion with 4 to 6 Skeletons, which we may get fewer hits and kill one less Peasant. I feel it is acceptable, not as weak as you think.

About the changes of Items.

WFZ: The Greater Mana Potion can recover 300 MP, It is really too strong. Now it decreases to 250, I feel it’s reasonable to nerf it a bit. Although the Mana Potion also decrease (from 150 to 125), but the price also become cheaper and easier to buy, it is also a good change.

Ritual Dagger recover more 50 HP, the recovery becomes more, which means we may use it if possible.

(Author: According to my understanding of WFZ, WFZ would definitely buy it before! Now he say he will consider it.)

About the new Items.

WFZ: The new items are mainly for 2v2 and the island on TM, it’s usually difficult for us to see them in 1v1. So the impact on 1v1 is not big. they may have a certain impact in the 2v2 late game, which will make the game more enjoyable. (Scepter of Mastery and Scepter of Avarice are one charged items.)

About DK ultimate (Animate Dead)

WFZ: The ultimate reduced 50 Mana cost, in 1v1, if you have enough Mana, you can try it.

As for 2v2, it is quite common to get to level 6. In 1v1, when DK reaches level 6, most of them will still give priority to upgrade the Aura or Death Pact. If it is me, I hope it change to a continuous casting, DK can walks and revives the surrounding corpses, with limited number. In this way, those Animate Dead units will not disappear together. (Similar to the Avatar of Vengeance, but with shorter Cooldown.)

Author Note:

The news of the new patch showed us a lot of dazzling changes. Especially the buff of many ultimate, let them sit on the new bench from the old bench. Perhaps Blizzard needs more maps to let the games go to the late game, to achieve high frequency use of ultimate and improve enhancement.

Also, the addition of new items also reflects Blizzard’s attitude towards the new patch.

We are not afraid of what Blizzard has updated, we are only afraid Blizzard doing nothing!
