Yesterday evening, Kaho beat Chaemiko in the Finals of the Open Division in WGL Qualifier and winning the tournament. Let’s give a read to this short interview of this young player!
Q: Congratulations on winning the Open Division of WGL Qualifier! Please briefly introduce yourself and talk about how you joined Warcraft 3!
Kaho: Hello everyone, my name is 张家豪 (Romanization: Zhāng Jiā Háo). In 2018, my friend introduced me Warcraft 3, so I started to play this game. Based on my Chinese name, I named myself an English name – Kaho, and following it, I gave myself an ID: 卡号.

Q: You can say that you have become famous after winning the Open Div of WGL Qualifier. Have you ever thought that you would win it? Who is the most difficult opponent to deal with in the tournament?
Kaho: I am quite unexpected. Before the final, I felt it was difficult for me to defeat Chaemiko. This kind of victory is difficult to replicate in the future.
Q: How do you rank your Night Elf level in China? Are you confident to become a new generation of “the King of Night Elf”?
Kaho: There are many excellent Night Elf players in China, such as Sini, Alice, Zhouxixi. Everyone is good at different match-up, and I don’t think I am better than them. Of course, the strongest Night Elf in China is definitely Colorful.

Q: Recently, the Night Elf players were having some good performances. How do you think of the impact of the new patch (especially the buff of the Bears)? And what do you think of the balance of this patch?
Kaho: The balance will not be fixed, it is dynamic and it keeps changing, also the balance should be considered and include with players (play-style, strategies, etc.). After all, the veterans and senior players of this game have been creating many miracles, which is exactly the charm of Warcraft 3.
Q: In today’s game, we saw that you prefer to play with the Single Gold Mine and offensive push. Why did you choose this style of play instead of learning from Moon like many Night Elf players did?
Kaho: I’m a fan of Moon. I always watch Moon’s games, but it’s not easy to copy Moon’s “homework”. There is still a big gap between me and the professional players. It is basically difficult to win for me if we talk about the late game, the monetization and operation. Therefore, I choose this kind of plays and strategies that feels more likely to win.
Q: As a 21 years old Warcraft 3 young man, do you have a girlfriend now? Do you mind sending a selfie to show everyone?
Kaho: I don’t see the right one yet, and I don’t want to appear on the scene for the time being, haha!
