On 26th May, there was tournament organized by Spider E-sports, officially authorized by NetEase Blizzard finished up. It was held in Beijing and had 300,000 yuan of prize pool, and it’s also the China vs Korea, the last two information are same as the WCA three years ago. In the Grand Final, the legendary Night Elf player, Moon defeated the Newbee player, LawLiet with 3-0, making up for the regrets three years ago. This is also the first time that Moon won an offline championship in six months.

After the game, we interviewed Moon immediately. What would the legendary player of Warcraft III say? Let’s take a look at it.

“I just watched all the replays of each opponent.”

Q: First of all, congratulations to Moon for winning the H&W China vs Korea Masters Championship. This is also the first time that you won an offline championship in six months.  How do you feel now?

Moon: After the WGL Winter 2018, I once again have won an offline championship. I am very happy to win the championship this time. I hope that I will have the chance to win the big tournament again.

Q: H&W Masters was having the biggest prize in the tournaments recently. Compared with other, did you have any special preparation for the game before the tournament?

Moon: Actually, I didn’t make any special preparations. I just watched all the replays of each opponent, and prepared to deal with the next opponent’s strategies.

Lawliet is the biggest threat to Moon in this tournament.

Q: You faced TH000 and Sok in the group stage, and you met Life and LawLiet in Ro8. After that, your opponent in the semi-final is 120, and you met Lawliet again in Grand Final. Which opponent do you think is the biggest threat to your journey to the championship?

Moon: Before the game started, I felt that the most difficult opponent was 120 when I was watching on the bracket. However, as the game progressed, I felt that the hardest opponent for me was actually LawLiet.

Moon also talks about the situation of Night Elf vs Human.

Q: Before that, you lost to TH000 in the W-League final. And there were some doubts on the internet. When you saw these comments, how did you handle it?

Moon: As for those comments on the internet and forums, actually, I don’t pay much attention to them. However, these comments do inspire my fighting spirit and make me prepare more strategies for the game. Currently, it’s still a little difficult for the Night Elves to beat Human, and I have been using KotG as first hero recently. Now I am preparing to use other heroes first and different strategies.

Q: It’s very difficult for Night Elves to beat Human, and this is also why you lost to TH000 and Infi before. Do you think there are any new changes in the patch 1.31?

Moon: I think there isn’t much different in the next patch actually. In the balancing change patch 1.31, the Human didn’t get nerfed much, and the Night Elf didn’t get big buff as well. So the overall situation is still similar to the current situation, but in the current games, we usually use KotG+Alchemist. In the next patch, we may need to change the heroes. For example, use DH or Warden first and Panda or Tinker second. I think Tinker is quite good to use, so I will develop some Tinker related strategies.

Night Elf have an advantage in this match up.

Q: As a expert, Can Moon help us analyze the situation of Night Elves vs Orcs?

Moon: I think that the Night Elves still having the bigger advantage than Orcs in this match up. Although, in the next patch Blade Master will be reverted to that of previous patches, but, still, I feel that there is not much difference in this match up. Although the Orcs are still trying new strategies against the Night Elves, they need to prepare more strategies. In general, the Night Elves still have an advantage in this match up.

Expectation for the next offline tournament and new patch.

Q: What is your goal for the next offline tournament (WCG APAC Final)? What are your expectations for the new patch?

Moon: In addition to playing against the Orcs, the changes in patch 1.31 makes Night Elves have some difficulties to play against the other races. Like the Undead, they get buff in this patch, and it’s relatively difficult for the Night elf to play against the Human too. However, I will use my strength to defeat my opponent, although it is difficult, I will prove myself!

Q: Do you have anything to tell your fans in the end?

Moon: First of all, I would like to thank all my fans, and the fans of the Night Elves. In the following days, I will work hard in the tournament, I will do my best to perform well.

Finally, we hope that Moon will stay in good competitive shape in the following tournaments and continue his glory!
