A major scandal is brewing in Russia. Happy has been banned from all tournaments and events, played on or organized by the biggest Russian gaming platform – GoodGame.
Two days ago “The Emperor” posted on his VKontakte (VK) social media profile that a donation of 10,000 rubles (approximately $130) has been withdrawn from the donor. Using uncensored speech, Happy explained that GoodGame, as the middleman between the donor and the donee, has refused to help. He threatened to never more stream on GoodGame, and called the platform “f***ing trash”.
A little later that day, the owner of the site, Miker, posted a note where he explained that the money came from a hacked and stolen PayPal account, so it was impossible to get them back. Additionally, in order to not promote such behavior (hacking of accounts), they would not reimburse Happy. Miker mentioned that Happy had banned him from his VK group.
Yesterday Miker made another post, in which he confirmed that Happy will be banned from all GoodGame events, unless he apologizes about the bad language he had used against the site. Instead of an apology, Happy published a long rant, in which using vulgar language he mentioned, among other things, that he didn’t care where the money were coming from. Below is a direct translation of that excerpt from Happy’s post:
“I don’t care about that PayPal (if it has been returned, or stolen, or hacked). The intermediary receives money for me. They accepted the money – they took responsibility. Even if it’s money from selling drugs, or something worse – I don’t care, the money doesn’t smell.”
Offending the GoodGame community, and the sponsor of the weekly GG!! Jeez Cups, among others, Happy confirmed that he would not stream on GoodGame anymore, and he would not participate in the platform’s events.
An important note to be made is that the sponsor of GG!! Jeez Cups, nicknamed Rusbrain, was also one of the main donors of Happy when he refused to participate in GCS Summer 2017 even though he had qualified. Happy took the donations, and didn’t return them, even though they were made to help him with his travels.
