According to the post by ark_rs on Reddit, the opening game of Americans Cup Season will play at 16:00 EDT on this Saturday.

Tournament structure: Each season of America’s Cup will consist of three weeks of qualifying tournaments which are open to all players. Players will accumulate points in these qualifying tournaments.

1. The fourth week will be invite only where the top 8 are invited to a double elimination tournament.
2. The fifth week will be a break week to prepare for start of the next season.
3. Prize pool for the qualifying weeks (Week 1-3) will be $25. Prize pool for the Finals week (Week 4) will be $150 total.

Seeding: The grid is generated by completing the below actions in order:

1. Randomizing the player list
2. Seeding the top 8 point earners
3. Seeding the rest of the bracket based off the ELO ranking on warcraft3.info
4. Final placements are randomly generated by the Challonge bracket generator

Hosting: Unless otherwise agreed upon, each player will take turns hosting the first two games of the series (four if in the finals). The final host of the series will default to a US East host.

1. Exceptions to this rule would be if their is an acceptable midpoint host (i.e. Australia player vs European player would likely use a US East host)
