Q: First of all, congratulations to you for winning the Yule Cup under the surround of 7 Chinese players. How do you feel?
Lawliet: Actually, I didn’t expect to get the championship. I have reached the Semifinals and gotten the second place many times in this year, but I haven’t won a championship. So, I am very happy to get the championship.
But, at the same time, I want to say sorry to eer0 and Lyn, I was having poor performance in the Playoffs of WGTL.

Q: Recently, KOTG with Mass Archers play is quite unbeatable. This homework you wrote also made Night Elf coming out from the dilemma, and getting way better in playing against Human. How did you come up with this strategy?
Lawliet: When I used Human playing on Ladder, I met MichaeL with Random, and he got Night Elf. At that time, he used the line up with KOTG+Alchemist+Bears+Archers. After that, I was thinking that: “if I change the Alchemist with Naga, would my timing control be better?
Then I tried it and found that the effect was good. After that, I adjusted the order of heroes and the units’ line up according to the situation.

Lawliet: The WGL Summer 2020 is about to start. I think he is probably trying some new idea, I think it’s okay, because eer0’s micro is very strong. I believe he will show his strength when he plays seriously.

Warden is a bit unsuitable for the current patch.
Q: You are the best player in terms of using Warden. So, can you share some experience for the players and fans in using this hero?
Lawliet: I personally think that Warden is a very fashionable and cool hero, so I really like it. But this hero must go to level 3, so the map and your leveling plans are very important. It’s bad that seemingly Warden is a bit unsuitable for the current patch.
I lost all of the 1v1 in the WGTL Playoffs, so I feel so bad about it.
Q: The Korean players have won almost all the tournaments in the past six months. Such a situation has not appeared in previous years. Why do you think the Korean players can achieve such a good result in this year?
Lawliet: It is true that Korean players are a bit stronger, but basically it is because of Moon and Lyn. These two players have always maintained their level, their basic skills are solid and they are very hardworking. It’s expected that they are having good results.
However, I think the absences of Infi, TH000, and Happy may also be one of the reasons.
Q: In the Finals of the Warcraft GOLD Team League, in the end, you chose to concede after Fly’s disconnect. What were you thinking at that time?
Lawliet: I was originally the disadvantaged side, and the game was suspended for a long time, I’m sorry to the fans who were watching the game. In that case, after discussing with my teammates, I finally chose to give up directly.

Q: In the Finals, eer0 and you scored 1 point on 2v2 is the key to make a big comeback. How do you communicate in the game? Who is the commander?
Lawliet: During the practice, I learned some simple Chinese names of Night Elf units and items. Also, Lyn also taught me some Chinese words like “跑家” (Base Run), “拖时间” (delay them), (你走) “You retreat first”, etc., and with some simple English, we are able to make a basic communication.
It’s hard to tell who is the commander, because we cooperated with each other according to the situation, that’s also why we achieved good results.
Q: Although Blizzard has been updating and releasing some new patches, the complaints about Balance has never stopped. Some people say the Orcs are hard to beat Night Elves; and some people say that Undead is very bad in playing against Orcs. What do you think of the current balance between these four races?
Lawliet: Every player has different feelings about Balance, and I am not that clear about the other races. But I personally feel that the Night Elves have an advantage in playing against Orcs; and the Humans have an advantages against Orcs as well. Therefore, Orc will be a bit difficult in this patch, I am hoping to have a new patch, so that the Orc players can play the game happily.

Q: In less than 2 weeks, the WGL Summer Games will officially launch. What is your goal for this time? Who do you think is your biggest competitor?
Lawliet: My goal is always “leave no regret in tournament”, but my performance in the last WGL Winter was too bad. So this time, I will do my best for myself and those who support me.

Q: Why did you use “Lawliet” as your ID? Also, what are the meanings of the Chinese IDs on the Ladder, like “沙漠的狐狸” (The Fox on the desert), “我不整活” (I don’t act) and “像昨天一样晚安” (Good Night Like Yesterday)?
Lawliet: When I was in high school, I performed in a drama, and the character I acted was called “LawLiet”, so I used since then.
For the Ladder ID, it’s hard to get a match if your level is too high, so I created some smurf account.
“沙漠的狐狸” (The Fox on the desert) is the nickname of a member in my favorite K-Pop Girl Group – Lovelyz. “像昨天一样晚安” (Good Night Like Yesterday) is one of their song. “我不整活” (I don’t act) was recommended by others.
Q: One last question, the color of your hairstyle is various changes. It will be gray for a while and then turn to yellow sometimes. What color will it be when we see you next time?
Lawliet: I haven’t figured it out yet, hahaha. I really like the gray that I dyed in the previous WGL Winter, but I will want to try a new color in the next Offline tournament.
