Tournament Hightlight
Can TH000 defend his championship?
There is no doubt that TH000 is the biggest favourite in the WCG 2019, and he is also the defending his championship of WCG.
In 2013, TH000 beat Moon and won the championship in Kunshan. And recently, he has won the W-League playoffs, NeXT, WCG 2019 Chinese qualifier. Seems his shape is very good and unstoppable. If he can win the championship, TH000 will also become the second defending champion of WCG Warcraft III. At the same time, with the two WCG, TH000 will also be compared to Sky and Grubby, and officially enter the Hall of Fame.
Can the Chinese keep the championship in China?
On WCG history, as long as the finals were held in China, Chinese Warcraft players have never lost the championship. In 2009, the young man, Infi climbed to the top in Chengdu; in 2012, TeD won the first WCG Championship for the Uundead in Kunshan; and in Kunshan again, 2013, TH000 defeated Moon and won the title.
In this year, WCG is coming and playing in China again, the location was changed to the ancient capital of Xi’an. By the time, TH000 and Infi will be playing in their home field, if they can play normally and stable, we believe they are very hopeful to keep the championship in China.
Can Moon achieve his WCG championship dream?
2 Silvers, a Bronze, and a Fourth Place, this is Moon’s result in the past WCG. For more than ten years, Moon has won countless championships. In 2008 and 2013, he also advanced to the WCG final, but he still missed the WCG championship.
This year, Moon made a comeback, although the patch 1.31 is not very friendly for the Night Elf, but after watching Moon’s performance in the WGL Summer, I believe everyone is still confident in his WCG trip.
Moon is not old yet!
Challengers are coming, the European and Americans, who can surprise us?
In sports event, the victory of an underdog always brings us a different experience. The retrogression of a player is always so exciting.
On the stage of WCG, yAws, Hawk, Cash, Nicker and others have played the role of “dark horse”. Right here, in WCG, even Infi, Sky, Moon, TH000, FoCuS, Happy, they became the background of these dark horses.
In this year, we believe these European and American players are naturally not willing to come for a trip only. Moreover, we believe Hawk is the most promising one. As long as he can defeat one of the Chinese or Korean players, he will have an opportunity to advance to the semi-finals, thus replicating the miracle that he completed in 2011.
After retiring for many years, will Sky bring us surprises again?
It has been seven years since the last time of Moon vs Sky on the stage of WCG. In WCG 2012, Match for Third, and Sky won the game at last. Seven years later, Sky has changed from a professional player to a company CEO. Is he still having the strength when he was young?
From the recent streaming of Sky, he is still far from returning to his peak. When he was playing on the ladder, he was continuously defeated by unknown player. Fortunately, it is a 2v2 game, TH000 may carry Sky in the game. Of course, their opponents’ strength is also very strong. In the face of Moon and Lyn, the two great players from South Korea, can they play a different style of Human?
Regardless of the result, as long as Sky and Moon can fight on the stage, it is enough for fans.
